Warning: translation table syntax error
DISCUSSION

Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name i.e. Warning: translation table syntax error: Unknown keysym name: osfActivate

Warning: ... found while parsing '<Key>osfActivate:ManagerParentActivate()' (osfActivate - can be anything osfLeft, osfup etc..)

RESOLUTION

NOTE: Making changes in the Windows NT Registry changes the state of your operating system and inadvertent changes can put your system into a state from which you may not be able to recover. Do not change anything other than that specified below. If you are not familiar with the Microsoft Windows registry please contact Hummingbird Technical Support for assistance.

Add a new Key called xkeysymdb in the registry:

  1. Click on Start, Run. Type Regedit. Should give you the registry editor

  2. Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software, click on Hummingbird.

  3. Go to edit, new, key

  4. Type XDK, in place of New Key #1

  5. Click on XDK, go to edit, new, string value

  6. Type XKEYSYMDB, in place of New Value #1

  7. Double click on XKEYSYMDB, and under Value data, add in the path to xkeysmdb in the /exceedhome/user directory. For example: e:\exceed.nt\user\xkeysmdb. (check manual for correct syntax)

  8. Restart the PC

**NOTE: Under Exceed XDK 5.1.3 the filename is xkeysmdb. Under Exceed XDK 6.x the filename is xkeysymdb. Make sure you use the correct spelling when specifying the value.
