Determining whether Exceed is installed for a user on Terminal Server.

LAST MODIFIED DATE: June 16, 2004

VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 8.0+

PROBLEM:

What registry key on Terminal Server is written to indicate Exceed is installed for a specific user?

SOLUTION:

When Exceed is installed we create a unique value that contains the user's SID.

If this value does not exist or does not match the proper SID, then usrsetup.exe will try and reinstall Exceed for that user.

The key in the registry is:
HKCU\Software\Hummingbird\Connectivity\<Version>\Installer\{ProductCode}
The entry will be "UsrSetupInstall" = "User SID"
