VERSION: This applies to Exceed versions 9.0, 9.0+

PROBLEM:

After a new installation of Exceed V9.0 on an IBM Think Pad R50, the Touch Pad to move the mouse cursor does not work at all. The middle mouse pointer in the middle of the keyboard works fine.

SOLUTION:

This is touch pad driver problem.

Open .DAT files from touch pad driver folders:

C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\TP4TABLE.DAT
C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\Media\TP4SCROL.DAT
C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\Media\TP4TABLE.DAT

Search for exceed.exe entries:

; Exceed
*,*,exceed.exe,*,*,*,WheelP,0,9

Change to:

; Exceed
*,*,exceed.exe,*,*,*,WheelStd,0,9

Then re-boot the PC.
