When trying to display Foxboro application to Exceed X-Server, Segmentation Violation error is generated.

LAST MODIFIED DATE: November 16, 2004

VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 9.0+

SOLUTION:

This can be fixed by inactivating the Latin1 fonts in Xconfig as follows:

  1. Under Start, Programs, Hummingbird Connectivity, Exceed, select Xconfig.
  2. From the Xconfig dialog box select Font Management.
  3. Under the Font Database edit the lfp.xdb file.
  4. Highlight the Latin1 fonts and click on the change button.
  5. Select the Inactive Status and click O.K.
  6. Make sure that the status for the Latin1 fonts under the Font Database dialog box has been changed to "I" for inactive.
  7. Click on O.K. then click on "Validate and Apply Changes" under Font Management.
