PROBLEM:

You are getting the following error when running Xstart:

"Unable to Locate DLL: The dynamic link library PWIOCB32.dll could not be found in the specified path".

SOLUTION:

If you have Digital Pathworks installed you will have the PWIOCB32.dll file. In order to use Exceed with the Windows native TCP/IP transport layer, you will need to add a flag to the registry.

Here are the steps to add the registry flag:

1. Click on Start.
2. Select Run.
3. Type "regedit" in the Open field.
4. Go to the following hive:

   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hummingbird\Connectivity\9.00\Exceed\Transport

   Note: create "Transport" key if it does not exist under the Exceed key.

5. Create a DWORD called "DecnetDisable" with value of 1.
