How to install Exceed V9.0 Evaluation onto a Terminal Server.

PROBLEM:

How to install Exceed 9.0 evaluation on a Terminal Server system?

SOLUTION:

The instructions for installing Exceed V9.0 evaluation onto a Terminal Server system are as follows:

  1. Unpack the evaluation.
  2. Exit the setup.
  3. Open a command prompt and change to the evaluation directory.
  4. Type the following command:

    msiexec /a "Hummingbird Exceed.msi" TRANSFORMS="ExceedTSE.mst;C:\Program Files\Hummingbird Evaluation Media\9.00\Exceed\Installer\Ex\1033.mst"

This will install the Administrative copy onto the TSE system. Once the installation of Administrative Copy is complete, follow these steps:

  • Change directory to the Admin installation, by default the Admin copy is installed in C:\Admin on the TSE system.
  • Type: "Setup "

    Run a personal Typical installation. Once the installation is complete you can log into the TSE box using a TSE/Citrix client and Exceed will install for the user.
