Usrmanager.exe does not pick up the Exceed product

VERSION: This applies to Exceed versions 7.0+, 8.0

PROBLEM:

You would like to update changes made in Exceed, however, the Product List in "usrmanager.exe",(c:\winnt\system32\Hummingbird\Connectivity) is empty, and therefore the Product Level can not be change.

SOLUTION:

Go to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Hummingbird\Connectivity\[version]\Installer\UsrSetup\{alpha-numeric product code}

You should see certain values already there, for example:
Groupname...

Create a new DWORD:
Name: Level
Value data: 2

This DWORD is the standard way for administrators to force Exceed settings to be reinstalled for all users who log in without the complexities of doing it manually.

Each user has an equivalent Level DWORD value in their own profiles. If the Level value in the UsrSetup Product key is higher than the one in the user's profile the Exceed settings will be reinstalled. Try to increase it by one.
