VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 7.0+
PROBLEM:
Install completes and asks for a reboot but after reboot Exceed is still not installed.
The Exceed install is detecting the older version of Exceed and trying to uninstall it but can't because you are not the user who did the original Exceed install.
SOLUTION:
Run "regedit" and go to the following registry hive:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hummingbird\Exceed
Under the Exceed key create three String values; HomeDir, UserDir and Version.
HomeDir should be given the data value of where Exceed 6.x is installed. (Example: C:\Program Files\Exceed.nt by default.)
UserDir should be given the data value of where the User Files for Exceed are installed. (Example C:\Program Files\Exceed.nt\user by default)
Version should be given the data value of the version of Exceed installed. (Example 6.0, 6.1, 6.2)
You can now run the upgrade and it should complete successfully.
