PROBLEM:

How do you install Exceed V9.0 while keeping the older version of Exceed installed on the same PC?

SOLUTION:

To preserve an existing product version and install the new version 9.0 side-by-side, you may want to disable migration.

To disable migration of user profiles from version 6.2 to version 9.0, use the following command:

setup /v"ALLOWMIGRATE=1"

To disable migration of user profiles from version 7.0 or higher to version 9.0, use the following command:

setup /v"DISABLEMAJORUPGRADE=1"

Note: Side-by-side installation is not advised. It may cause incompatabilities (especially with the NFS Maestro product line).
