DISCUSSION:
How do I add a Font Server to my Terminal Server installation, so that the users automatically get it?
RESOLUTION:
The following are the instructions on how to add a font server to a Terminal Server installation of Exceed
- Add the font server in Xconfig Font Management in an existing installation of Exceed or in the Administrator account on the Terminal Server once Exceed has been installed
- Once you have added the Font Server copy the lfp.xdb file in the C:\Document and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Hummingbird\Connectivity\8.00\Exceed directory and replace the lfp.xdb file in the Admin copy directory with it
- Run usrmanager.exe in the %windir%\system32\Hummingbird\Connectivity directory
- Click on Properties of the Hummingbird Exceed product
- Click on the Overrides tab.
- Enter Exceed.Xserver.KeepLfpXdb as the "Name" field
- In the "Set Value" field type 1
- Click OK
Remember to increase the product level if any users have already logged into the Terminal Server and have Exceed installed.
