VERSION: This applies to Exceed versions 8.0+, 9.0+

PROBLEM:

Exceed is installed on a Microsoft Terminal Server running Dynamic display assignment, you want to have the Exceed Terminal Server clients run static display.

RESOLUTION:

1. Run %windir%\system32\Hummingbird\Connectivity\usrmanager.exe

2. Select Hummingbird Exceed from the Manage Product List to bring up "Managed Product Properties" window.

3. Click Overrides tab. This is where you can set Display Mode. If the Exceed.Xserver.UniqueDisplayForUsers entry is not present click the Add button. Under Name field, enter "Exceed.Xserver.UniqueDisplayForUsers" (without quotes). As for the Value, set it to 1. This can be set for a specific user or any on the Override Information page. Click OK.

4. Back to the Options tab, change "Product Level" value = X increase X by one(1) (Note: If the value is 1 increase to 2, this will initiate a re-install for all users to change to static display).

5. Hit Apply and then OK. Close User Manager Window.

6. Then next time users log in, Exceed's UserSetup will run the installation process to validate the changes and install with the new settings.
