VERSION: This applies to Exceed onDemand version 6.

PROBLEM:

When installing the Exceed onDemand linux client via RPM, the client is integrated with the system.

If you save an Exceed onDemand file, you can launch it by double-clicking it. There will also be an entry to launch the client from the Applications menu. How can you do this if you use the gzipped version of the client?

SOLUTION:

To do this, after you extract the client, you need to go into

Exceed_onDemand_6/Client/setup directory.

Run the desktop_integration_install.sh script and once complete, restart the system. You should then be able to double-click your Exceed onDemand files to launch them and find the menu entry.
