LAST MODIFIED DATE: April 17, 2007
VERSION: This applies to Exceed onDemand versions 5.1, 6.0
DISCUSSION:
Yes, it is possible to disable some of the Exceed onDemand client menu items.
In order to get this feature, you will need to apply patch 5.1.9.0 or higher if you have Exceed onDemand v5.1 and patch 6.0.1.x or higher if you have Exceed onDemand v6.0.
After applying the proper update for the version of Exceed onDemand that you are using, you will also need to add the following registry flag:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hummingbird\Connectivity\version number\Exceed onDemand\Client\
Dword Name = DisableClientMenues
Dword Value = 1
Once this is in place the user will only be able to close the client. None of the other items will be accessible.
Note: Exceed onDemand patch 5.1.9.0 and 6.0.1.x or higher can be obtained from Hummingbird Customer Support or by logging in to WebSupport and clicking on the "Patches" link from the "Resources" menu.
