Changing how processes appear in Task Manager list with X window manager.

LAST MODIFIED DATE: August 27, 2008

VERSION: This applies to Exceed versions 2007, 2008.

PROBLEM:

Using an Xwindow manager, you can change how Xapplications appear in the Windows Task Manager.

SOLUTION:

This new feature is available in the latest update, patch exceed.exe 12.0.11.159 or higher.

In order to get this feature, you need to download and install the latest update pack available.

Also, run regedit and add the following flag under:
HKLM\Software\Software\Hummingbird\Connectivity\VERSION\Exceed\Xserver
- DWORD

The flag options are:
EnableExToolWindow = 1 Xapp Icons show in task manager only (default)
EnableExToolWindow = 0 Xapp Icons show in task manager and task bar
EnableExToolWindow = 2 Icons do not show anywhere

Note:
Exceed.exe 12.0.11.159 patch or higher can be obtained by logging into WebSupport or when you contact Hummingbird Customer Support
