VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 2008
PROBLEM:
In an All User installation, is there a way to lock Xconfig so that users do not make changes?
SOLUTION:
In order to password protect Xconfig you need to do the following:
- Run Xconfig.
- From the Menu, click on Actions, Change My Password.
- Since it will be the first time setting the password, leave 'Old Password' field blank.
- Enter the password in the 'New Password' and 'Confirm Password' fields.
- Click OK.
- Close Xconfig.
The next time you run Xconfig, you will be prompted for the password.
