In some cases, an error message appear when you try to create an administrative image on Terminal Server.

LAST MODIFIED DATE: June 20, 2008

VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 2008

PROBLEM:

When you try to create an administrative image on a Terminal server using copy and paste of a command line from Exceed 2008 TSE.pdf, sometimes you get the following error message:

"Invalid Command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help".

SOLUTION:

Depending upon the PC code pages on the local PC, character substitution may be happening (i.e. quotation marks) resulting in this error. To resolve this issue, you need to type the command line rather than copying and pasting the command line from the .pdf file.
