PROBLEM:

After adding fonts (Example: Mathematica fonts) to the Exceed font database, you receive the following error when launching Exceed:

Fatal error <path>custom_font_file.fdb is too large to load.

Example: "Fatal error C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Hummingbird\Connectivity\<version>\Exceed\mathematica.fdb is too large to load"

The mathematica.fdb file is a custom font database file.

SOLUTION:

There is a file size limitation for the .fdb file, 64KB is the maximum.

If the .fdb file exceeds this limit, it is considered too large.

The solution is to divide the font database file into several smaller .fdb files.

Example: Mathematica1.fdb, Mathematica2.fdb, Mathematica3.fdb, etc.
