Is it possible to change from static to dynamic displays on Terminal Server?

LAST MODIFIED DATE: May 17, 2005

VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 10.0

PROBLEM:

If you initially installed Exceed V10 on Terminal Server and configured it for static display numbers, is it possible to change to dynamic displays at a later date?

SOLUTION:

Follow the steps below and you can change to dynamic displays:

Edit the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Hummingbird\Connectivity\10.00\Global\Exceed\display manager.ini file and change the following entry:

FROM "Unique Display For Users=1"

TO "Unique Display For Users=0"

At the end of the file you will find entries corresponding to which users were assigned which static display numbers. Remove these entries.

Save the file

Restart the Hummingbird Display Controller Service.
