VERSION: This applies to Exceed version 10.0+
PROBLEM:
When you install Exceed on Terminal Server the default is set to have the display number dynamically assigned to the users. How can you change the display number assignment from dynamic to static?
SOLUTION:
In order to change the display number from dynamic to static, you need to edit the following file:
Display Manager.ini
This file is located as follows:
<Drive>:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Hummingbird\Connectivity\10\Global\Exceed\
In the "Display Manager.ini" change the following entry:
Unique Display For User = 0
TO
Unique Display For User = 1
When the "Unique Display For Users" flag is set to 1, a static display number is allocated to each user if this user does not have one. By default, this flag is set to 0.
You must restart the "Hummingbird Exceed Display Controller Service" in order for the changes to take effect.
