"Cannot connect to X server 0:0" when NutCracker is installed
DISCUSSION

X Applications written with Nutcracker will result in the error "Cannot connect to X server 0:0." when attempting to run them with Exceed.

This is for the customers with both Nutcracker and Exceed installed on their pc's:
When trying to run their local X applications Exceed does not start, and they could get an error:

"Cannot connect to X server 0:0"

RESOLUTION

Nutcracker changes the DISPLAY environment variable to 0:0 from the Exceed default setting of localpc:0

To correct this problem change the DISPLAY variable as follows:

Go to Control Panel -> System -> Environment -> DISPLAY variable to localpc:0.
