Hi

Have you tried installing hclnfsd on your Linux box?

ftp://ftp.hummingbird.com/pub/maestro/hclnfsd/
<ftp://ftp.hummingbird.com/pub/maestro/hclnfsd/>

If you can not find your Unix in the pre-compiled section.

Read the make file on how to compile for your system.

ftp://ftp.hummingbird.com/pub/maestro/hclnfsd/hclnfsdsource/
<ftp://ftp.hummingbird.com/pub/maestro/hclnfsd/hclnfsdsource/>

After you have compiled or used a pre-compiled hclnfsd

Run as root

chmod 755
chown root

./hclnfsd -A -X

Are you connecting with DES or AUTH_UNIX?

Sincerely,
Chris Colgan

Subject: Problem when mounting Linus Partition on Windows 2000

Hello

I am trying to map a drive in Windows 2000 to a shared Linux
filesystem.
I can actually see the shared linux filesystem but can not complete the
map process, it fails with the following error:

"AUTH_DES operation failed. Ensure
the client and server clocks are
synchronized"

The Windows 2000 machine is running Hummingbird NFS Maestro Version 7.0
and there is no problem mapping to other Unix filesystems.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Rosaleen
