I am attempting to create an unattended installation of Exceed and
Maestro Solo. I have made several .mst files and even performed an
administrative installation where I merge my .mst into the
installation point. If I run setup, my customized installation is
performed but I am forced to perform some manual interaction. If I
select Typical (which is pre-selected) I believe that I get all of
the settings that I have selected. I do not want any user
interaction. If I run "setup /S" I still receive dialog boxes.
I looking for some amplification on the following:
In SConfig when in the Setup Configuration Wizard Customize I go to
the Properties section.
When selecting INSTALLLEVEL the default is 100 and the following
description is provided:
"Determines the initial level at which features are selected for
install by default"
The variable box shows that it must be a number between 1 and 32768.
What are the different Install Levels? Do I need to change this from
100 to something else?
Also, the information provided for TRANSFORMSATSOURCE,
TRANSFORMSECURE and DISABLEDESKTOPSHORTCUT are pretty weak.
Is there somewhere that I can get information on these configurable
settings? The assistance provided from within SCONFIG is limited
and, if you do not know what the item is, is quite useless.
Thanks,
Elliott
